You are the blow dryer with it's dragon breath
you are the shinny penny on the cement beneath my toes
you are the key that donsn't appear to open anything
you are the jar of peanut butter with no lid
you are the endless paper chain linking forever and never

however you are not
the sheets fresh from the dryer, warn and folded
or the single Lego in the spoon drawer
and you are not the raindrops that hit my window screen
nor are you the fuzzy turtle magnet stuck on the fridge

it is possible that you are
the toothpaste tube half squeezed out but still minty and fresh
of the cute shoes that hurt my feet but that i still wear

But we all know that you are not
the TV remote snuggled into the couch
and could never be the pocket knife dangerously dull

And because you ask yes
i am the pot of ink spilled across the desk
and the Tuscan painting on the wall
and if you insist i am also
the book with dog-eared pages
and the extra red lipstick applied with care

yes i am the pearl braclet
and the old record player spinning endlessly
and indeed i am the clock ticking backwards
loosing time, waiting
but don't worry you are still the dragon blow dryer, forever
for i cannot breath fire
and i am no shinny penny

ohhh monday! why in the world do we have them. they are torturous and evil ! awww! i can't waite for saturday i am so excited!
